Evaline Jean Cole, 86, of Bonaparte, died December 18, 2016, at Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua. She was born May 13, 1930, at rural Fairfax, IA, to William and Marie Vostrel Dusil. Evaline graduated from high school in Cedar Rapids, worked at WelchCook-Beals Co. and Kenway Sewer Service, both in Cedar Rapids, and retired from Cedar Rapids Animal Shelter as a secretary.

Remaining to cherish her memory are a daughter, Valerie Tollefson, and a son, Dean Cole (Sherri), all of Bonaparte, grandchildren Stacy Coffin (Jeremy), Russell Tollefson, Wyatt Cole, Natalie Garriotte and Russell Garriotte; great-grandchildren, Hannah Conrad, Hailey Tollefson and Tailor Tollefson; a great-greatgrandson, Jase Liebelt; three sisters, Anita Fuller of Toddville, Loraine Sakulin and Betty Slaton (Bob), both of Cedar Rapids; many nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends. Her parents, a sister and four brothers preceded her in death.

Evaline loved to garden and tend to her flowers. She also loved crosswords, puzzles, crocheting afghans, and watching her birds. She was a member of Keosauqua United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Van Buren County Historical Society.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, December 22, 2016, in Keosauqua United Methodist Church, Pastor Mary K. Hart officiating. Visitation will open at 3 P.M., Wednesday, at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with family present 5-7 P.M. Burial will be in Greenglade Cemetery, Farmington
