MRS. CHARLES KECK

Mrs. Charles Keck, age about 56, died Wednesday morning at her home on the C. Farnum place where she and her husband had moved about three weeks ago from the John Miller place half a mile north. Mrs. Keck and family moved from Missouri to Van Buren county several years ago, first locating on one of the Cresswell farms. Surviving are her husband and several children.

MRS. CHARLEY KECK

Jennie Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Davis, was born near Croton, Iowa, Jan. 20, 1882, and passed from this life at her home near Bonaparte early Wednesday morning, March 30, 1938 at the age of 56 years, 2 months and 10 days.

She spent her girlhood at Croton. She was educated in the local school. At the age of 15 she united with the Methodist church at Croton, and remained a faithful member.

On July 3, 1900, she was united in marriage with Charley Keck. To this union seven children were born. Mrs. Keck was a good neighbor and a kind mother and wife. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, three sons, Clarence, Lloyd and Harry Keck of Bonaparte, and four daughters, Esther Cochrane of Kahoka, Mo., Alma Londage of Harper, Iowa, Flossie Sprouse and Neta Heminger of Bonaparte; thirteen grandchildren; an also by three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Washburn of Alberta, Canada, Mrs. Della Wirsig of Deepwater, Mo., and Mrs. Florence Bedell of Fairbury, Neb.; also several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the home northeast of Bonaparte, and at the Croton Methodist Episcopal church at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Harvey E. Butler conducting the services. Burial was in the Croton cemetery.
