MARY BARKER MUIR

Mary Barker Muir, age 87, died July 30 at Longmont, Colo., where she had lived for the past 50 years.

She was born and reared in the Milton community, having received her education in the Milton schools and teaching school for a number of years. She was married to Edward Muir, who preceeded her in death 15 years ago.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Faye McCullah, who has lived in the home and cared for her mother in her later years; one grandchild, four sisters and two brothers. They are Dora McLeland and Charley Barker of Milton, Della Barker of Bloomfield, Alma Hartman of Burlington, Lena Pinnell of Ottumwa and Harley Barker of Council Bluffs.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 1, in Longmont with burial there.
