KILLED IN ACTION

Word has been received here Thursday that Jimmie Ledbetter had been killed in action in France. He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Ledbetter and a former resident of Bonaparte vicinity, having lived on the Wilson farm and the Hornbaker farm while his father was employed by Charles Caudill and Warren Beebee, respectively.

He is a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Louie Higdon now living on the former Nate Nelson farm. He was called to the service from Burlington in March and leaves a wife and two children.
