Sgt. Cecil Peck Killed in Action

Sgt. Cecil Peck, 24, was killed in action Oct. 8 in Italy, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.V. Peck of Stockport.

Sergeant Peck who entered the service two and one-half years ago, had been overseas for 18 months, serving in North Africa and Italy. He had taken special training in the intelligence branch of the army and while he had seen much combat duty, his work was largely with captured enemy prisoners.

A graduate of Stockport high school, he was employed at the Secony Vaccuum Oil Station before entering the service. He is survived by his parents, two brothers, Ralph of Chicago and Paul of Stockport, and two sisters, Mrs. Harold Webber of Cedar Rapids and Miss Ruth Peck of Los Angeles.
