DIED. - Wednesday, January 10th, 1877, of lung fever - MR. JOSEPH STOTT, aged 79, was a resident of the county about 40 years, being one among the earliest settlers in this part of the State. Was the father of five children, three sons and two daughters, all of whom survive to mourn his loss.

Mr. Stott was a native of Yorkshire, England; left his native country at the age of 37 years, and with the exception of two years' residence in Ohio, has always lived in this county. As an old settler, a thrifty farmer and an excellent citizen, our county has lost a valued citizen; his friends an excellent neighbor, and his children a good and kind father.
