THE PAST WEEK AT FARMINGTON
Death of Mrs. Dr. Smith -

Farmington, Oct. 25. - Mrs. Dr. Smith, widow of the Ft. Madison banker, a former old resident of this place, passed away at her home in Ft. Madison Thursday. Her remains were brought here Monday morning and services were held in the Congregational church. Interment in the family lot in the cemetery on the hill. Mrs. Smith was a lady of refinement and culture and was highly esteemed by all who knew her. She lived to the advanced age of 91 years and some months. The remains were accompanied from Ft. Madison by her nephew, J.A.S. Pollard, and other relatives and friends.
