SHERMAN, BLODGETT, SALSBURY

URIAL SHERMAN

Urial Sherman, son of D.R. Sherman and nephew of Dr. E.E. Sherman, died at the home of the latter Wednesday night. He was in poor health and had come to his uncle's home for medical advice and treatment from Pueblo, Col., two weeks before death, expecting to go on to his home in Kewanee, Ill. He was accompanied by his father. Upon reaching Des Moines he grew rapidly worse and a physician was called who gave restoratives to enable him to proceed his journey. On his arrival at Dr. Sherman's he took his bed and while he rallied some, he was not again able to walk. His ailment was paralysis.

He was an industrious, unselfish young man, whom to know was to love. He leaves a wife, a father, mother, two sisters and two brothers to mourn his untimely death. He was 25 years old.

A short service was held at the home of Dr. Sherman, Friday morning, Elder Moody officiating, after which the body was taken to the Illinois home for interment. During his illness he was visited by his grandfather, Mr. Solomon Salsbury of Burnside, Ill., and a brother, E.S. Sherman of Blandinsville, Ill., also a sister, Mrs. Wm. Blodgett of Kewanee, Ill., who in company with the sad father made the journey home.

The deceased was a member of the Woodman lodge. the assistance of the Woodmen at this place was much appreciated by Dr. and Mrs. Sherman.
