OBITUARY OF MRS. DANEL DONALD

Katherine Graber was born Jan. 25, 1836, in Wayne county Ohio, and entered into rest Jan. 9, 1913, at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 15 days.

She and Daniel Donald were married Oct. 10, 1858, and lived on a farm three miles due northwest of Stockport until Mr. Donald's health failed when they moved to our city and made their home on McKinley Ave. until Mr. Donald's death about 14 years ago, since which time Mrs. Donald had made her home with her sons on the farm.

In early womanhood Mrs. Donald was of the Menonite persuasion religiously but when coming to Iowa and no church of her choice being accessible she did not place her membership in any church, but endeavored to life a pure consistent life.

Mrs. Donald was the mother of six children all of whom were with her excepting Josephine (Mrs. Wm. Spencer) who died about six years ago in California but whose body was brought here for interment beside her father. The children present were Mesdames Geo. Jamison and Wm. Berry and John, Ray and Ed.

The funeral services were held at the home of her son John where she had made her home the past few years, Saturday at 11 a.m. in charge of Rev. C.J. Bowles and interment followed at the Smith cemetery beside her husband and daughter.

Besides her children Mrs. Donald leaves to mourn her loss several grand children, a great grand child and numerous relatives, friends and acquaintances.

The immediate cause of Mrs. Donald's death was pneumonia followed by a paralytic stroke although for years she had weak lungs.
