Dr. J.T. Cross of Farmington died Tuesday morning at 5 o'clock. Dr. Cross was an old resident of Farmington, having located here about 1875. Previous to that he had resided in Lee county, Ia., and had served in the army during the civil war. He was about 72 years of age. During all that time he was in Farmington he was engaged in the drug business. He used to take an active interest in politics on the republican side and of late years was interested in temperance reform. He leaves a widow and a daughter, Mrs. Ernest Beard. Dr. Cross is the third druggist who has died at Farmington since July last, the others being Dr. Baker and Dr. Franks.
