Obituaries
John J., son of S.W. Boyd and wife, was born near Thayer, Kan., July 18, 1909 and gave up his little life in Keosauqua, July 7, 1911, after an illness of 10 days. Too precious for this world he has gone to meet his grandma who preceeded him only 13 days to the land of sweet rest.
Out little darling is gone and there's one more attraction in the home above.
John was a sweet attractive child and the light of his parents' life, he being the only child, and his death was especially sad as the mother was called here from home in Thayer, Kan., by the death of her mother, Mrs. Joshua Brown.
Short funeral services were held from the A.R. Beggs' home on Saturday evening conducted by Eld. C.V. Allison of Albia, Iowa, and on Sunday morning the relatives and friends followed the little body to the Mt. Moriah church, a short distance north of Douds-Leando, where funeral services were conducted by Rev. Kious of Milton, Iowa, after which the body was laid to rest in Mt. Moriah cemetery to await the resurrection morn.
