CLARENCE HOWARD RUSSELL

Clarence Howard Russell, eldest child of William D. and Elizabeth F. Russell, was born Nov. 2, 1883 near Milton, Ia., and departed this life May 11, 1957 at Stillwater, Okla., at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 9 days. He had lived at intervals in Iowa, Oklahoma, Manitoba and Alberta and in more recent years at Basin, Wyo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John C., who was killed in World War I in October, 1918.

Surviving are five brothers and two sisters. They are: Elmer Carl Russell, Didsbury, Alberta Canada; Robert Reed Russell, Stillwater, Okla.; William McKinley Russell, Miami, Okla.; George L. Russell, Washington, D.C.; James Paul Russell, Enid, Okla.; Mildred May Plank, Bloomfield, Ia.; and Fannie Margaret Plank, Eldon, Ia.

Mr. Russell was never married. He was converted and joined the Methodist church as a young man. He was a devout Christian and an excellent student of the Bible.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 14, at 2 p.m., at the Wagler Funeral home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Harold Harryman of Milton officiating. Interment was in the Sunnyside cemetery at Milton.
