LIFELONG RESIDENT WAS 84 YEARS OLD.

Mrs. Della Alfrey, 84, of Mt. Sterling died early last Tuesday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. Wm. L. Park, in Mt. Sterling, where she had been for the past two weeks.

The daughter of Thomas J. and Margaret Wolf Lorton, she was born on Vernon Prairie July 3, 1867, and had always lived in Van Buren county. Since her marriage to T.D. Alfrey of Mt. Sterling about 50 years ago, she has lived at Mt. Sterling. He preceded her several years.

She was a member of the Mt. Sterling Methodist church and a charter member of the Ladies Aid Society. Her parents and three brothers preceded her in death. The sister, Mrs. Park is the only survivor of the family with the exception of a niece and two nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday at the Mt. Sterling Methodist church with the Rev. Harold Harryman in charge. Burial was in the Center Chapel cemetery, Mrs. William Davidson a Keosauqua resident (remainder missing)
