Floyd Gaston Dies Today

Floyd Alexander Gaston, 81, 215 Avenue G, died at 6:50 a.m. today in Sacred Heart hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. He had been in failing health for three years.

Mr. Gaston was born at Bonaparte, Nov. 24, 1886, but spent most of his life in Fort Madison. He never married. He was a member of the First United Methodist church.

Surviving are two brothers, Charles and Glen D. Gaston both of Fort Madison, and three nephews. His parents Charles and Johanna Gaston preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday in Clements Chapel. The Rev. James Buikema will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
