Taylor Easter.
Taylor Easter was born in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, May 24, 1847, and died at his house near Utica, Iowa, about eleven A.M. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 1911, aged sixty-four years, three months, and twenty-six days. His death was caused by appendicitis.
Funeral services were in charge of Rev. Ward of Fairfield who is pastor of the Hillsboro-Utica circuit, and the remains were laid to rest in the Spencer cemetery in Cedar township.
Sept. 20, 1881, he and Miss Rose Ella Keck were married. Mr. Easter was the manager of the Western Telephone Co. of Chicago. Soon afterward they moved to Kansas where they lived for fifteen years. They moved to Iowa in 1897 to a farm which they had purchased a mile from Utica and where he died on his thirtieth wedding anniversary.
He had seven brothers and six sisters of whom there are six brothers and two sisters living whose names and addresses are as follows: James of California, Pa.; John of Albia, Iowa, Dr. Edward of Wichita, Kansas; George of Farmington, Wash.; Hamilton of Spokane, Wash.; and Charles W. of Bonaparte, Iowa; and Mrs. Mary Bernard of Westernport, Md.,; and Mrs. Carrie Hook of Summerfield, Pa.
