Marilyn L. Wiles, 57, of Gladbrook, died Sunday, July 3, 2016, in Ames. Celebration Of Life Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2016, at the Union Grove State Park Youth Center, 2147 215th Street, Garwin, IA. She is the daughter of Wayne and Mina (Peacock) Zollars, was born September 6, 1958. She attended Van Buren. High School in Keosauqua, IA.

Marilyn L. Wiles, 57, of Gladbrook, IA, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Mary-Greeley Medical Center in Ames, IA. Celebration Of Life services were held July 8, 2016, at the Union Grove State Park Youth Center, 2147 215th Street, Garwin, IA. The Gladbrook Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes assisted with arrangements.

Marilyn L. Wiles, daughter of Wayne and Mina (Peacock) Zollars, was born September 6, 1958. She attended Van Buren High School in Keosauqua, IA. She was married to Victor Wiles on September 30, 1979, at Lacey-Keosauqua State Park. They were blessed with three boys: Nathaniel, Seth and Josey. Marilyn was a part of the Keosauqua, Packwood, Fairfield and Gladbrook communities. Marilyn worked for many years at Pamida in Tama/Toledo. She then went on to managing Shopko Stores in Eldora and Vinton.

Survivors include her husband Victor, sons, Nathaniel (Acilia), Seth, Josey (Jessica), mother Mina (Peacock) Zollars, sisters, Willy (Wayne) Klein, Julia (Dave), Carol (Noel) Harlan, and brothers, Jerry (Ruth) Zollars, and Doug (Paula) Zollars. She was also blessed with three grandchildren: Liam, Brianne and Sophie Wiles. She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Zollars, and her brother, Dean Zollars.

Marilyn wrote this the week she passed. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has so generously helped me and my family during our health issues. I am overwhelmed and humbled by everyone's generosity and so proud of the community. Your generous donations, prayers and thoughts have been such a blessing and so very much appreciated. Thanks all of you and may God bless you.”
