Grace S. Lane.

Grace Saphronia Lane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Lane, was born January 26, 1911, and died Sunday morning Dec. 24, being nearly eleven months of age.

The parents, and the three year old sister, Brooke, accompanied by Dr. and Mrs. Fleming, took the remains to Carthage Monday, where the funeral was held the following day from the home of Mrs. Lane’s father, S.A. Main.

Rev. Scofield, former pastor of the Lane family had charge of the service and interment was made in the Moss Ridge cemetery.

Baby Lane was a beautiful child, and gave promise of wonderful possibilities but it was not to be. The tiny bud of promise was too frail to combat with the ills of this life, and the spirit was relieved *** its beauty and fragrance unfolded to the world.

The parents have the sympathy of all, and although they cannot but mourn their loss, still the memory of the life that was given to them for the short time will be to them a benediction and a blessing.
