MRS. WILLIAM SANDY

Anna Alfreda Hallberg, the daughter of Alfred and Anna Hallberg, was born June 16, 1882, at Dagg's Mines, Penn., and passed away at Wapello, Iowa, Feb. 4, 1943, at the age of 60 years, 7 months and 9 days.

She was united in marriage with William H. Sandy of Wapello on Jan. 17, 1905.

The early part of her life was spent in Pennsylvania. She came to Iowa in 1903, where she spent the remainder of her life near Milton, Iowa, moving to Wapello recently because of ill health.

She was a member of the Swedish Lutheran church of Kane, Penn.

Preceding her in death are her parents; three brothers, Fred, Harold and Raymond; one sister, Tracy; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Mitchell and Mrs. Ellen Galpin; and one grandson, Donald Lee.

Among the survivors are her husband; six daughters, Mrs. Alice Plowman of Kilbourne, Mrs. Agnes Peacock of Lebanon, Mrs. Berdena Crawford of Oakland, Calif., Edna Hall of Benton Harbor, Mich., Dorothy and Lucile at home; four sons, Melvin of the U.S. Navy, stationed on the west coast, Chester L. of Jamestown, New York, William H. of Wapello, Iowa, and Ralph E. of Milton; also twelve grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Esther Johnson and Miss Cecilia Hallberg of Kane, Penn., Mrs. John Bedner of Erie, Penn., and three brothers, Ed of Akron, Ohio, Elmer and Emil of Kane, Penn., and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at Wapello and the body taken to Morning Sun for burial.
