MRS. FRED HOPP. SR.

Mrs. Fred Hopp Sr., died at her home near Chambersburg, Clark county, Mo., Sunday morning, Dec. (3), 1933 at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 2 days.

Wilhemina Monnelstorff was born in (Dorsha), Germany, fifty miles from (Duelan), April 5, 1852, and departed this life at the age of 81 years, 7 months and 28 days.

She was the only child and married Frederick Hopp in 1873. Two children were born to this union while they yet lived in Germany, and eight were born here in the United States. They are: Oscar Hopp of (M???), Mo., Harmon of Burlington, Iowa, Fred Jr. of Ashton, Mo., Mrs. Minnie Pundt of Cantril, Iowa, Willie of Farmington, Iowa, George of Luray, Mo., and Mrs. Amelia (Glasscock) of Mt. Sterling, Iowa, and also three who have preceded her in death, Lettie Hopp, Betty Jenkins and Johnnie Hopp.

She was christened into the German Lutheran church of Germany at the age of one year.

The husband came to the United States about six months before she came in 1876 accompanied by two sisters of her husband. After coming to America, she continued with her church by joining the German church at Farmington. In 1899 she joined the Bethlehem Baptist church, where she has remained a faithful member until death.

She leaves to mourn their loss a most devoted husband and seven (children...grandchildren, besides a host of very dear ... ) neighbors.

The funeral services were held at the Bethlehem Baptist church Tuesday, Dec. 5, conducted by the Rev. J.P. Sansom of Kahoka. The burial was in the church cemetery.
