MRS. W.H. FRIDLEY

Mrs. Sadie Fridley died Feb. 15 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Maude M. Walters in San Jose, Calif., on the day before her ninetieth birthday anniversary. The final rites were held on the following Thursday with interment in Los Gatos cemetery. Mrs. Fridley had been blind for nineteen years.

She was a native of Birmingham, England, coming to America at the age of six. She and her husband, W.H. Fridley, and family made their home at Bonaparte, Iowa, for several years, in the residence now occupied by Mrs. Refa Butts and family, and they operated a lumber business just south of their residence.

They left Bonaparte fifty-three years ago. Mr. Fridley passed from this life in 1907 at the age of 76. Mrs. Fridley and family located in San Jose in 1923.

Surviving members of the family are Mrs. Maude M. Walters and Ralph B. Fridley of San Jose, and one grandson, Ralph B. Fridley, Jr., of Long Beach, Calif. One son, benny, died at the age of 22. In England there are also two sisters, Mrs. Clara Westwood and Mrs. Nellie Rowley.
