HARDIN BREWSTER TAKEN BY DEATH

Mr. Hardin Brewster, one of the long-time citizens and prominent farmers of Van Buren county, passed away about six o'clock Wednesday morning, July 19, at his home in Vernon township.

Mr. Brewster's health had been failing for some time, and especially since the death of his wife a few months ago. Several weeks since he went to the Mayo hospital at Rochester, Minn. for treatment. It was said an operation would likely restore him to health but his heart could not be gotten (unreadable) We(unreadable) withstand the shock (incidental) to an operation, and he retarned(sp) home to await the end.

Mr. Brewster was a man honored by a large circle of friends and neighbors, and esteemed by all who knew him, and they will all mourn his death.
