Mrs. Albert Short

Mrs. Nellie L. Short, 84, died Sunday, Nov. 22 at the Davis county hospital. She had suffered a heart attack a week ago.

She was born July 25, 1875, near Kirkville, the daughter of James Newton and Rachel Jane Barker. She was married to Albert Franklin Short March 8, 1894, and they moved to a farm southeast of Milton in 1901. She was a member of the Milton Methodist church.

Survivors include two sons, Fred Short of Milton, with whom she had made her home for the past 10 years and Earl of Cantril; a brother, F.W. Barker of Portland, Ore.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. in the Methodist church at Milton conducted by the Rev. Harry Harryman, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Ray Rubey of the Cantril Methodist church. Burial was in Maple Grove cemetery at Cantril.
