MAUDE ELSIE MILLER

Maude Elsie, eldest daughter of Edgar and LaVina Mason was born April 29, 1886 at Newburg, Ia., and departed this life on Sunday, Oct. 5, 1958 at her home at the age of 72.

He father passed away when she was a small child, and she moved with her mother to Libertyville, and spent the remainder of her life in Libertyville and the Mt. Zion communities.

For many years she and her mother operated the Libertyville telephone exchange.

In 1913 she was united in marriage to W. Clyde Miller, who survives, along with four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Greenfield of Libertyville; Mrs. Hazel Michler and Mrs. Mary Caughlan of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Wilma Heckert of Des Moines.

Also surviving are two grandsons, William and Ronald Caughlan and three granddaughters, Carol Ann Michler and Linda and Rita Greenfield, also a host of friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, one sister, Mrs. Lula Hagans, and an infant daughter, Rosamond.

Early in life she was united with the Libertyville Presbyterian church. After moving to the farm she was active in the Mt. Zion Methodist church. Mrs. Miller's main interests were always her home and family, to to these she was very devoted.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 7, 1958 at (remainder missing)
