Willis B. Boone

ELDON - Willis B. Boone, 63, died of an apparent heart attack Monday at 4 p.m. while he was working on telephone lines three miles southwest of Libertyville.

He had been a farmer and telephone lineman for Bell Telephone Co. and local manager for Iowa Telephone Co. at Eldon for 15 years.

He was born Sept. 6, 1908, in Booneville, son of Harry and Margaret Forrett Boone. He was a member of the Murray Christian Church, Eastern Star of Eldon, and Lions Club. He was also a Mason.

He married Mary Sjeklocha, April 7, 1934. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Keith of Ottumwa and Donald of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren; one brother Dale of Waukee; and one sister, Mrs. Lela Short of Adel.

Services will be Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Campbell Funeral Home with Don Parrett officiating. Masonic rites will be observed. Burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery at West Des Moines.

A memorial has been established payable to the Masonic Home Fund.
