Dorothy Bennett

Dorothy Thelma daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Bennett, was born in Van Buren County Iowa, Dec. 2, 1904, and came to Washington County Kansas, with her parents in April 1909. In March 1910 they moved to the state of Washington where she was stricken ill about ten weeks ago with inflammatory rheumatism, and died Monday May 8, 1911 at the age of 6 years, 5 months and 6 days.

Funeral services were held Sunday May 14 at the home of the grandparents near Washington, Kansas and she was laid to rest near their home. She leaves a sorrowing father and mother and little sister and many other relatives and friends to mourn.
