Anna 'Liz' Laumeyer

Anna Elizabeth "Liz" Laumeyer, 87, of Ottumwa died at 9:35 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Hospice House, Ottumwa.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Anna Elizabeth Cole Miller Laumeyer

Anna Elizabeth "Liz" Cole Miller Laumeyer, 87, of Ottumwa, died at 9:35 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Hospice House in Ottumwa.

A funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery west of Keosauqua.

Visitation opens at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with family present 5-7 p.m.

Memorials to the family to assist with final expenses may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 209 W. Maple Ave., Ottumwa 52501.

Mrs. Laumeyer was born March 24, 1927, in Keosauqua, the daughter of Grover and Sarah Rhodes Cole. She married Leo Miller. After his death, she married Lawrence Laumeyer who also preceded her in death.

She grew up in Van Buren County.

She operated Truck Stop Café on Highway 63 south of Ottumwa and worked many years as a home health care giver.

She attended an Ottumwa pentecostal church.

Survivors include two sons, Harold Miller of Ottumwa and Jack Miller of Washington; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Myrtledell Hamre of Agency, Lucille Miller in Tennessee, Arlene Palmer and Weltha Rojas, both of Ottumwa, and Norma Smith of Rapid City, Ill.; and two brothers, Clarence Cole of Rapid City and Gene Cole of Silvis, Ill.

In addition to her husbands she was preceded in death by her parents; four sons, Allen, Donald, Chuck and Melvin Miller; two daughters, Betty Cosgrove and Patty Miller; and two brothers, Ira and Ray Cole.
