Carol P. Gould, 81, of rural Bonaparte, IA, died at 2:13 A.M. Friday, April 1, 2016, at Keosauqua Health Care Center, Keosauqua, IA. She was born November 15, 1934, in Moline, IL, to William and Mary (Hermsen) Krack and married Thomas G. Gould on December 26, 1953, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moline.

Carol worked as a domestic engineer in the Quad Cities and at Modern Woodmen in Rock Island, IL, and at Butterworth Center, Moline, IL, as a caretaker for 10 years before her retirement in 1994. Carol made her home in the QuadCities (Silvis and Moline) for 57 years until her retirement, when they moved to their current home in rural Bonaparte, IA, that they called “The Farm”. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Farmington, IA. Carol enjoyed her country life as well as gardening, dancing, ice cream, fishing, spending time and camping with friends and family. Carol also enjoyed volunteering at schools, church and hospitals.

Carol is survived by her husband of 62 years, Thomas, three sons, Steve Gould (Patty) of Macomb, IL, Jeff Gould (Kathy) of Wilmington, NC, and Mike Gould of Phoenix, AZ, two daughters, Sharon Skelton (Steve) of Geneseo, IL, and Sheila Ruland (Boyd) of Mesa, AZ, 12 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren and a greatgreat-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mary Heene, a brother, Richard Krack, and a grandson, Nicholas Gould.

Funeral services were held April 5, 2016, at St. Boniface Church, Farmington with Rev. Dennis Hoffman officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery, Milton, IA. Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua assisted the family with arrangements.
