MRS. ESSIE NELSON

Mrs. Essie M. Nelson, 90, Birmingham, died Sunday night in Van Buren County hospital, Keosauqua after a long illness.

She was a native of Illinois and was born May 18, 1877, at Perry, the daughter of George and Caroline Hofsses Morrell. She married Clyde H. Nelson, Aug. 22, 1900. He died April 8, 1965. Mrs. Nelson was a one-time rural school teacher.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Martha Laubach, Birmingham; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held at the Burch Funeral Home, Birmingham, Wednesday at 2 P.M. the Rev. Ned Gillum, officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill cemetery.
