Katherine McCleary Beghtol

Katherine McCleary, daughter of James and Sarah McCleary, was born at Libertyville, Iowa, Oct. 24, 1863, and departed this life Feb. 12, 1925, being at the time of her death 62 years, 4 months and 20 days. She was married to Peter Beghtol 31 years ago and to this union were born six children: Charles of Ft. Morgan, Colo.; Eunice of Glenwood; John of Eldon; Mrs. Earl Trout of Douds, Iowa; Wilbur who died in infancy, Pearl of Glenwood. Besides her own family she leaves to mourn her loss one step son, Norton Beghtol of Agency, Iowa, a brother, James McCleary, of Ottumwa, a sister Mary, residing in Wyoming; also nine grand children. Her husband passed away oct. 15, 1918. The funeral was preached at the Kilbourne Methodist church Feb. 13, at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. Austin. Mesdames Julia Lyons, Lena Martin, Gladys Jamison and Bertha Gilbert sang several selections. Burial was in the Kilbourne cemetery.
