Mrs. Mina Horton, an aged lady who formerly owned and resided on what is now known as the Bauman farm, died at the home of the Rebekah's at Mason City, Aug. 25, and was brought to this place for burial the 27th. Mrs. Horton was well educated and very devoted to her family, all of whom have preceded her in death, except one grandson, Earl Gilbert, who resides at Eldon with his wife and little daughter. She was about 80 years old, death being caused by paralysis. She will be remembered by man of the readers of the REPUBLICAN who have enjoyed the hospitality of her home, and who will hear with sorrow of her death. We sincerely sympathize with the grandson, as he has suffered the loss of every relative except his wife and baby.
