Sarah Ann Henry, daughter of George and Jane Beaumont, was born July 27, 1844, in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and passed away to the happy beyond June 10, 1920, at the home of her son in Vernon township, Van Buren County, Iowa. She was one of the family of nine children. All preceded her in death but one sister, Mrs. Nancy Metsger.

She leaves to mourn, her husband and son, two grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. She was converted and united with the church at the age of fourteen and was a faithful member until her death. Those who knew her loved her for her acts of Christian kindness, being always ready to help those in need.
“Dearest mother we will miss you,
The voice we loved is stilled
In our home a place is vacant,
Which never can be filled.”Funeral services were held Sunday at Center Chapel at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. Luce. The remains were laid to rest in Center Chapel cemetery.
The family desires to express gratitude for the sympathy and help of friends and neighbors. Also for the beautiful floral offerings.
