MRS. WINIFRED SYFERT.

KEOSAUQUA. - Mrs. Winifred Syfert, 85, died Sunday morning in Ottumwa. She had been ill several years.

She was the daughter of David M. and Anceline Fisher Lazenby. She was born in Ohio May 19, 1869, and came to Van Buren county in childhood. She was married February 13, 1895, to Joseph Syfert, who died a number of years ago. She was long a member of the Keosauqua Methodist church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eva Cook of Medford, Ore.; two grandchildren; a brother, Will Lazenby of Ottumwa, and a sister, Mrs. J.L. Neis of Keosauqua. A son Lloyd, died in 1951. Six brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Keosauqua Methodist church. Burial will be in the Fellows cemetery.
