Virginia F. Underwood, 85, of Keosauqua, died at 2:50 P.M., Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren, Keosauqua, where she had resided since 2010. She was born February 1, 1930, in Plainfield, NJ, to William and Emma Clark Anderson and married Rolland H. Underwood April 10, 1949, in Danville. He died December 1, 2004. They lived in Keokuk, many years in Burlington and on their farm north of Keosauqua.

She did housekeeping for a family and Arrowhead Motel in Burlington and was a member of Keosauqua United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Ronnie and wife Debbie of Burlington, and Randy of Keosauqua, nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Joanne Brisby of Keokuk and Leota Stables of Massillon, OH, and a brother, Jimmy Anderson of Keystone, FL. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Emma Oughton and a brother, Charlie Anderson.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with Pastor Mary Kathryn Hart officiating. Cremation will follow the service with private burial of cremains in Shiloh Cemetery, Middletown, at a later date.
