Mrs. J. A. Campbell

Anna Taylor, daughter of Pleasant and Nancy Taylor, was born February 15, 1864, and passed on to her heavenly home August 21, 1919, aged 55 years, 6 months and 6 days.

She was one of a family of five children, two of whom survive her. When she was eight years old the death angel called her mother, and three years later the father was also taken, thus leaving her, at eleven years of age, an orphan. She grew to womanhood in the home of an uncle and aunt.

She was married September 13, 1887, to J.A. Campbell who, with the five children, Nora Trenerry, Ruth Hamilton, and Lois, Fern and Taylor, also four grandchildren, are left to mourn their loss.

In early girlhood she united with the Christian church and later with the Harrisburg Baptist church. She was an earnest Christian woman, devoted to her Master’s work and always ready to do her part.

She was essentially a home woman; a loving, faithful wife; a tender, affectionate mother, whose wise counsel and careful guidance will never be forgotten.

Quiet and reserved, and sometimes a little slow to form friendships, she was yet the truest, most loyal of friends as those of us who knew and loved her best have proven.
