Died Tuesday Evening At His Home In Keosauqua After A Long Illness

Funeral services for Joseph Edward Price, 65, were held this afternoon at the Burnett Funeral Home in Keosauqua in charge of the Rev. Edna M. Fellows with interment in Purdom Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Sommerville, Stanley Workman, Roy Phillips, Paul Daughrity, Harry Jones and L.A. Vandaman.

He had been in failing health for the past two years and had been bed fast for nine months. Death came Tuesday evening at his home. He had been employed by the State Highway Commission for the past fourteen years, part of the time he had contracted the cement work from the state and has put in a large amount of culverts and bridge work in the state.

Surviving are his wife, one son, Joseph W. Price, a member of the army, now stationed at Santa Rosa, Calif., and a brother-in-law, Carl Fleming, who made his home with the Prices. He was preceded in death by one son, William Price.
