J.C. Murdock, 81, Dies at Cantril

Surviving Are Wife, 4 Daughters, 2 Sons, 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters; Rites to Be at Cantril.

J.C. Murdock, well-known resident of Van Buren county, died at his home in Cantril about 8 o'clock last night. He was 81 years old, and had spent all but 18 years of his life in Iowa. He and his wife, the former Miss Alice Pinkerton of Illinois, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary April 5.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters, Mrs. Clyde Roby of Pekin, Ill., Mrs. W.L. Epperly of Milton, Mrs. Chester Gray of Rapid City, S.D., and Mrs. Earl Casady of Fort Morgan, Colo.; two sons, Harry of Douds and the Rev. Reynolds Murdock of Nevada, Iowa; two brothers, two sisters and many other relatives.

Funeral services and burial will be at Cantril.
