Robert Harvey Ewing was born in Keosauqua, Iowa, July 15, 1861, and spent most of his childhood and youth in Van Buren Co. Afterwards, with his mother, he moved to St. Louis, Mo. He was married to Miss Lula B. Haney in Bonaparte, Iowa, May 17, 1888. To this union one child, a daughter, was born. She, with his companion, survive him. He died in Bonaparte, Iowa, May 18, 1898, aged 36 years, 10 months and 3 days. The funeral occurred from the M. E. Church in Bonaparte, May 20, 1898, Rev. G. W. Barber, of Farmington, conducting the services.
