William Alexander Davison

William Alexander Davison, son of William and Sarah Gray Davison, was born in Davis county, Iowa Dec. 25, 1851 and departed this life Sept. 19, 1936 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Rex Underwood in Fairfield, Iowa.

Mr. Davison was married to Emma Jane Yarnell March 31, 1880. To this union two children were born, Earl and Fae. The wife and son preceded him in death. The deceased is survived by the daughter and one grandson, Jack A. Underwood.

Mr. Davison became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church in 1869 and has been a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge since 1876. He was the last of a family of nine children.

The funeral service was held at the Catcott Funeral Home in Birmingham Monday, Sept. 21 at 3 p.m. in charge of Rev. H.C. Druse. Interment was in Maple Hill cemetery.
