MRS. EMMA FRAZEE LUKE

Emma Ella, daughter of John and Nancy Jane Frazee, was born at Keosauqua, Iowa, Feb. 22, 1873, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hazel Roberts, in Kansas City, Mo., on June 16, 1942, aged 69 years 3 months and 25 days.

On October 212, 1891, she was united in marriage with Willis Luke at Keosauqua, Iowa. To this union six children were born five of whom survived, one child having passed away in infancy.

She had been in failing health since the death of her husband 15 years ago and for the past three months was confined to her bed. For the past 11 years she has made her home with her son, Hubert, in Kansas City, MO.

She was a member of the Yeoman Lodge and has been a member of the Methodist church since early girlhood.

She is survived by her five children, Mrs. Hazel Roberts of Kansas City, Mo., Harold E. of Kansas City, Kansas, Mrs. Carl Matthews of Ottawa, Ill., and Hubert E. and Herbert E. of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Jim Frazee of Galesburg, ill., and Fred Frazee of Keosauqua, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Della Allen of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Ed Jameson of Keosauqua, Iowa, and Mrs. Charlie Roberts of Batavia, Iowa, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. These together with a number of other relatives and a host of friends mourn her departure.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. C.H. Orf, were held from the Burnett Funeral Home in Keosauqua, Friday afternoon, June 19, 1942. Interment was in Purdom cemetery.
