Mrs. Sutesha Lute

Sutesha Moore was born Sept. 26, 1850 in the state of Ohio and passed away in the Ottumwa hospital Tuesday morning, Nov. 26, 1935 at the age of 85 years and two months. She had been in poor health for five years preceding her death.

She came to Iowa when a child with her parents. She was married to Rev. John Lute Oct. 2, 1868. The new home was made near Sigourney, where Mr. Lute was pastor of the Free Methodist church. The home was later moved at the call of the church in various places in southern Iowa. When Rev. Lute retired they lived in Fairfield and later moved to Eldon, where he died five years ago. For the past two years Mrs. Lute made her home with her son, Martin, in Selma.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter and three sons. She is survived by one son, Martin, of Selma; and three daughters, Mrs. Eva Wergin, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; Mrs. Hattie Sturgis, of South Gage, Calif.; and Mrs. Dora Tracy, of Washington, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at the funeral home in Eldon Friday morning in charge of the Rev. M.W. Dixon, of Ottumwa. Burial was in the Eldon cemetery.
