81 YEAR OLD MAN WHO SPENT LIFE ON ONE FARM IS SURVIVED BY FOSTER SON

Funeral services for Joseph Swiers, who died at his home near Leando at noon Saturday, were held at the Leando Methodist church Monday afternoon in charge of the Rev. W. S. Moore. Burial was at the Valentine cemetery.

Mr. Swiers, who was 81 years old, was born on the farm where he died. With the exception of one year, he had spent his entire life on the same place. He was married to Malvina Jackson in 1881. One daughter, Myrtle, died in 1889. His wife died in 1909. Their other daughter, Mrs. Myrtes Mort and baby daughter died in 1919.

Mr. Swiers is survived by a foster son, W. L. Swiers of Leando.
