Mrs. Barbara Hildebrand

Barbara Herman, daughter of John and Susanna Herman, was born in Germany, November 4, 1857 and departed this life April 15, 1935, at her home near Milton, Iowa, at the age of 77 years, 5 months and 11 days.

In 1860 she came to the United States with her parents and settled in Illinois. Here she met and married Bernhard Hildebrand. In 1911 the couple moved to Milton with their daughter, Mrs. Henry Zuhorst.

Surviving relatives are her husband and daughter, a granddaughter, Mrs. Cecil Lunsford, also a great granddaughter, Grace Lunsford, all of near Milton.

Funeral services were held at the home east of Milton, April 17, the Rev. Mr. Smith of the Four Corners church in charge. Appropriate music was rendered by Mrs. M.E. Atkins and Mrs. J.E. Marshall, of Milton. Pallbearers were, Dick Osing and his five sons, Will, George, Rudolph, August and Louis.

Burial was in the Sunnyside cemetery.
