Vivian Louise Green, 77, of Bonaparte, IA died July 13, 2014 at the Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua, IA.

She was born September 5, 1936 in Chariton, IA, the daughter of Elmer and Alena Bell Bartholomew Green.

Vivian graduated from Bonaparte High School with the Class of 1954. She proudly served her country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army from January 1956 to September 1957.

For over twenty years she was employed with Continental Telephone in Phoenix, AZ as an executive secretary.

She loved animals and made room in her heart for a number of family pets over the years.

Vivian is survived by her son, Glenn Thomas Green of Iowa City, IA, a grandson, Trae Green of Donnellson, IA, her sister, Betty Vickers and her husband Bill of Bonaparte, IA and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Joe Green and her sister, Vera Mae Gares.
