Mrs. Jennie Dodds

Jennie S. Humphreys daughter of Harry and Marie Humphreys, was born Dec. 1855. She passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sybil Farr, in Mt. Pleasatn, Jan. 17, at the age of 79 years and 20 days.

She was married to David S. Dodds on Sept. 18, 1883. To this union were born one daughter and two sons, Mrs. Sybil Farr, of Mt. Pleasant, Frank, of Lake Andes, S. Dak., and J. Edward, of Mt. Pleasant. Her husband preceded her in death, Nov. 30, 1903. There was also two step daugthers, J. Mae Sarber of Long Beach, Calif., and Rose J. Huston, of Newman Grove, Neb., nine grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held in Mt. Pleasant and at the Baptist church in Bonaparte, Saturday afternoon the Rev. Pike of Mt. Pleasant officiating. Burial was in the Bonaparte cemetery.

The Dodds family were former residents of Harrisburg township.
