Wayne Edwin Moffett

Wayne Edwin Moffett, little five-week-old son of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Moffett, was called to rest August 12 at 12:50 oclock.

Our little darling was born June 27, and the angels called him away August 4. He fought for his life but whooping cough was the stronger. Oh how it grieved our hearts to give him up for he was so sweet and dear. He was given but taken.

Our dearling Waynes leaves in his parting, his beloved parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Moffett, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Strait and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Moffett, his great grandmother, Mrs. W.C. Strait, eight uncles, Leonard, Gayle, Fred Moffett and wives; Mac and Robert Moffett, William, Matthew and Maurice Strait, and two aunts, Madeline and fern Moffett, and four cousins, Larry, Stanley, Jerry and Jean Moffett.

Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church in Milton conducted by the Rev. A.M. Hadley. Pallbearers were four little boys, Charles Kaiser, Harold Cooley, Warren and Wayne Cox.
