Ella M. Booth
Ella M. Booth, the youngest daughter of Samuel M. and Sarah Whitson Bennett, was born on Feb. 28, 1858, near Vernon, Iowa. At an early age she was left motherless and she assumed the care of the home and a younger brother. On Feb. 15, 1880, she was united in marriage to Henry Hart, who preceded her in death on March 18, 1885. One daughter was born to this union.
On January 17, 1901, she was married to Chauncey Booth of Farmington where she resided until his death March 27, 1920. Since this time she has made her home with her daughter, where she passed away, after a short illness on March 28, 1935.
At an early age she united with the M.E. church and has kept a faithful membership. She was a member of Mizpah chapter O.E.S. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. G.J. Beeson, one grandson, Henry Hart Beeson, of Longview, Texas, and a number of cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon, March 30 with a life long friend, the Rev. Walter Barber, of Eldon, in charge, assisted by Mrs. Butler, of Farmington.
Interment took place in the Bentonsport cemetery by the side of her first husband.
