Frankie Louisa Vale
Frankie Louisa, oldest daughter of Aaron and Margaret Struble, was born in Scotland county, Mo., Jan. 8, 1866.
She was united in marriage with William Vale, Dec. 13, 1883, to which union two children were born, namely, Charles A. and Bessie Bea. After marriage they lived on a farm for some years then retired to their home purchased in Cantril.
Mrs. Vale was a very active busy home maker, a helper and comforter to her husband and family. Some 40 years ago she united in fellowship with the people of God in the M.E. church in Cantril. In this fellowship she remained true and faithful.
She passed away early Wednesday morning, Jan. 9, 1935, one hour and 10 minutes past her 69th birthday anniversary.
She leaves a heart broken, devoted husband, a brother, Charles of Cantril, a son, Charles of Atlantic, Iowa, a daughter, Bessie Vaughn, of Ottumwa; six grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends to mourn her departure. Mrs. Vale was a good church worker, an active member of the lodges, well liked by all her friends and neighbors in the surrounding community.
Funeral services were conducted in the M.E. church, Cantril, Thursday, Jan. 10 by the Rev. James, the pastor, burial in the Cantril cemetery.
Singers at the services were, Mr. Ben Casady, Iliff L. Leu, Mrs. Vera Smith and Mrs. Fletcher Wells.
Pall bearers were, Ray Cunningham, W.S. Jack, Walter Miller, W.A. Kisling, B.C. Casady and Glen Jones.
