Wallace W. Wilson
Wallace W. Wilson, son of John and Mary A. Wilson, was born November 20, 1869, in Davis county, Iowa, and departed this life January 24, 1935, at the age of 65 years, 2 months and 4 days.
He was united in marriage to Virgie Hunt, daughter of Fletcher and Minerva Hunt. To this union ten children were born, three girls and 7 boys. Audrey, of California; Florence, Kermit and Quentin, all of Chicago; Mrs. Helen Burns and Harold Wilson, of Des Moines; Kenneth, of Kansas City, Mo.; Beecher, of Bloomfield, Iowa; Herbert and Ormel having preceded him in death. Besides his children, he leaves to mourn his death, four grandchildren, two brothers, Francis M., of Warrenton, Oregon, and William B., of Bloomfield, Iowa.
He was converted at an early age and united with the Methodist Episcopal church and was ever a faithful attendant and worker in the church.
Wallace was a very energetic worker. He taught school in Davis and adjoining counties in connection with farming for 35 consecutive years, until 1923, when he moved with his family to Des Moines, Iowa, living and working there until the spring of 1931, when he moved back to his farm in Davis county.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 26, at 1:30 p.m. at the Bloomfield Baptist church.
