Theodore Laverne Clapper Jr., 77, of Ankeny, Iowa, died June 17, 2014 after a brave battle with cancer.

Memorial services were June 24, 2014 at Ankeny Christian Church.

Ted was a successful businessman, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and fisherman. He had an abiding and deep love for his family.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda; children, Theodore Isaac Clapper (Jenni) of Ankeny, Iowa and Elizabeth McGee (David) of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Sarah and Alissa Clapper, Katelyn Olive (Bryce), Samantha, Sydney, Theodore and Joseph McGee; sister, Donna Bruggeman (Dean), Keosauqua, and also his dog "Snoopy".

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Betty and Jeannette.
