Virgil R. Dorothy
Virgil Raymond Dorothy, son of Raymond and Edna Parrott Dorothy, was born near Douds, Iowa, July 21, 1934, and was called to the great beyond at 3:30, February 4, 1935, at the age of six months and 14 days.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his parents, one half brother, Verne, and one half sister, Mildred Dorothy; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Parrott, of Mt. Pleasant, and Mr. and Mrs. James Dorothy of Stockport; his great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Wiley of Birmingham, and Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Parrott, of Douds.
Many other relatives and people of the community will miss the sweet face and smile of baby Virgil.
Pall bearers were: Donald Frazer, Wayne Frazer, Clarence Gates and Mernice Hootman:
Music was furnished by Mrs. Dewey Harryman and Mrs. Fred Gilbert, with Mary Margaret Morrow at the piano.
Funeral services were conducted from the Zion Lutheran church, east of Douds, Feb. 5, and burial was at that place. Rev. J.D. Stevens preached the sermon.
